Suzanne Whitton • Jul 22, 2019

Due to the launch of our new website, we are a little behind with updating you on our latest superstar nominations. Rest assured it has all been going on behind the scenes however and as always, we have had some excellent nominations.

You will see below that there are three categories:

Nominees – the cleaning operatives who received a nomination from their Contracts Manager

Runners Up – the operatives who received a nomination from their contracts manager and amazing feedback from the customer

Winner – the operative who we feel deserves the title of ‘Rapid Superstar’.

Rapid Superstar Nominations

Nominees:

Mariama Jalloh nominated Victoria Lockhart who cleans Waltham Abbey Leisure Centre

“Victoria is very dedicated and is always there to cover any shift. I really appreciate her commitment.”

Andy Hollister nominated Amanda Walton who cleans Draper Head Office

“Amanda is a perfect example of someone who deserves the superstar award. She has worked for us for a number of years, starting as a cleaning operative and promoted to supervisor. She is always reliable, very well organized, completes starter paperwork and interviews, inducts new employees, gives training and monitors performance at the site with support from CM.”

Bernice Anim nominated Helena Appiah who cleans Portesbery School

“Helena is a very hard working individual. We do not have a supervisor at the school but she makes sure the standard in the school is kept to the highest level. I think it will be nice to let her know Rapid as a whole appreciates her hard work and her commitment to the job, she is indeed an asset to the company.”

Ingrid Antonio nominated Marta Knavina who cleans Camberwell Leisure Centre

“Marta did a great job covering the supervisor on holiday and I really appreciate her hard work.”

Aga Skupien nominated Ewelina Stefanowicz who cleans West Byfleet Golf Club

“I am nominating Ewelina for her hard work, being committed, always providing excellent cleaning standards and  communication.”

Zoran Marinkov nominated Samuel Agyei who cleans Binfield Surgery

“Samuel is always here for me when I need someone to help me with the deep cleans or to cover someone. I really appreciate his commitment.”

Runners Up:

Natasha Vye who cleans Finishing Brands

Rapid’s Contracts Manager, Craig Love said: “Natasha is extremely reliable, conscientious and has impeccably high cleaning standards.”

Rob Smith, Site services Manager at Finishing Brands said: “I find Natasha a very hard working and charming member of the cleaning team who is reliable, dependable and always happy to help. She always goes about her work in an efficient and professional manner, and always does it with a smile, even if she is carrying out one of the more unpleasant tasks. Any award would be well deserved in my opinion.”

Wioletta Lisowska who cleans Da Vinci Dental

Rapid’s Contracts Manager, Piotr Szulc said: “She is a great member of staff and is loved by people on site. All the ladies from the front desk say she’s the best! The place is extremely clean and we have never had anything but good feedback about her.”

Nicola Mitchell, Practice Manager at Da Vinci Dental said: “We are very pleased with the service that Wioletta is providing. The premises always looks spotless when we arrive in the morning and our staff members that have spoken with her have commented at how pleasant she is.  Communication is key for a good working partnership and Wioletta always communicates with us through the booklet you have provided if no staff are on site.  She also requests feedback if we feel there is anything that needs improving. We wish her all the very best!”

Rebecca Tucker who cleans St Michael’s Primary School

Rapid’s Contracts Manager, Frank Twum said: “She works very hard and the client always gives good compliments about her. She is very well organized and a very good team leader.”

Kate Parietti (Headteacher) at St. Michael’s Primary School said: I would like to add my support to Rebecca’s nomination for employee of the quarter. She works incredibly hard to ensure that everything is ready for the children and nothing is too much trouble. Our school is always well presented and this is due to her incredibly high standards.”

Jackie Saunders who cleans Manor School Didcot Academy Trust

Rapid’s Contracts Manager, Peter Soares said: “She’s doing a great job, she’s reliable and very helpful. Jackie is always one step ahead, I’m glad she’s part of the team!”

Jo Coleman at Manor School Didcot Academy Trust: “I have no hesitation in recommending Jackie Saunders for the Rapid Superstar Award.  Jackie has worked consistently well over a challenging period of time and proactively takes responsibility for areas outside her remit, taking pride in her work and performing her duties to a good standard.”

Fernando De Meira Lins who cleans Oxford Playhouse Theatre

Rapid’s Contracts Manager, Anna Dabal said: “Fernando hasn’t been with us for a long time, but has proved to be a very conscientious and dedicated employee. The client shares fantastic feedback every time we speak. He has high attention to detail, is proactive, stays behind to do extra work if needed. He definitely deserves to be appreciated.”

Dee Millard at Oxford Playhouse Theatre said : “We really can’t say enough nice things about Fernando’s work. His attention to detail is second to none, and he’s really got this backstage area shining. On top of that he’s a genuinely nice chap; we’re lucky to have him here. Many thanks and I hope he wins!”

Edimauro De Sales who cleans Softcat, Windrush Maidenhead & Windrush Howarth Road

Rapid’s Contracts Manager, Diana Marothy said: “Edi is a great guy and is so helpful. He never stops helping me over and above his job, such as translating for other cleaners on different sites and covering and finding cleaners for us. He has never let this company down.”

Maria Dias, Office Manager at Softcat said: “It is very nice to hear that Rapid recognises their employees in this way. I deal with Edimauro every day, he is dedicated and works very well with the team. I think because he is the evening supervisor he likes to have things organised in a certain way and he demonstrates that during his day shift as well. I am glad to know he has been nominated and that he can be recognised in some way.”

Rapid Superstar Winner:

Margaret Phiri who cleans Brayley Honda

Rapid’s Operations Manager, Sabeeh Tahir said:   “Margaret has been very reliable and well-focused at her job. I get good feedback about her standards, she is always happy to carry out extra work at the last minute and goes the extra mile. I also believe she has long service with the company; coming up 7 years.”

Bob Molloy at Brayley Honda said: “Over the years that Margaret has cleaned my Showroom at Brayley Honda St Albans I have never had any reason to call with a compliant. I think that she does an outstanding job day in day out and the showroom and offices always looks immaculate following a days’ trading and for that I do think that recognition should be attributed to Margaret’s work ethic and attention to detail.”

Andy Doust, Aftersales Manager at Brayley Honda said : “I have worked at Brayley Honda St Albans for 17 years now and I often work late so I have the pleasure of actually knowing Margaret quite well (like an everyday work colleague), as do several other colleagues too. Margaret has always been very polite and is always very efficient.  We are able to leave her a note if there is something extra we would like her to do and she always goes above & beyond to help. I would highly recommend Margaret to win this award as we at Brayleys believe she is a ‘Rapid Superstar’ and truly deserves the recognition.”

Margaret Phiri and Sabeeh Tahir, Rapid’s Operations Manager

Huge congratulations to Margaret, a valued Rapid employee who has clearly made a great impression both with her Contracts Manager and the team at Brayley Honda.
