Bake for Dementia - w/c 25th April 2022

Bake for Dementia Cake

Dementia describes a group of symptoms that include problems with memory, thinking or language, and changes in mood, emotions, perception and behaviour. Dementia is a progressive disease, which means symptoms may be relatively mild at first, but they get worse over time. There are many types of dementia but Alzheimer’s disease is the most common.

Bake for Dementia is just one of many fundraising events that the Alzheimer’s Society is holding to help raise funds for people affected by dementia. We’ve decided to get involved and help to raise money for this cause.

How Your Money Will Help

The Alzeheimer's Society offers many different types of help and support from groups, arts and crafts, singing in care homes, and daily care for those affected by dementia. Donations help to fund all of these services as well as investing in ground-breaking research into better ways of treating and caring for people with dementia.

How is Rapid Clean Getting Involved?

On 25th April 2022 we will be hosting a Bake for Dementia event at our head office in Wokingham. Some will be baking, others will be eating, either way everyone will be getting involved! And for those Rapid employees who are not based at head office, this is how we are suggesting that people get involved:

  1. Donate to our Just Giving Page
  2. Bake for friends, family, or work colleagues, and ask them to contribute a small amount in order to raise some money (we recommend £1 per slice)
  3. Take part in our quiz for a bit of fun
  4. Spread the word – get everyone involved to raise some money for a good cause.

If you would like your organisation to get involved, it's not too late! You can read more on how to go about doing that here.
