Rapid Clean is Proud to be Employee Owned
We’re proud to share that Rapid Commercial Cleaning Services Ltd has transitioned to employee ownership through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).
This marks the next chapter for Rapid Clean; a business that has been built steadily and deliberately over many years, with a long-term focus on quality, trust, and - most importantly - our people.
Our Story So Far
From our early days to where we are today, our success has been driven by the dedication of our people - particularly our frontline cleaning teams, who deliver exceptional service to our customers every day.
As we’ve grown, we’ve continued to strengthen our systems, leadership, and management capability, while staying true to what makes us different.
This transition follows careful consideration of the long-term future of the business - how we protect what we’ve built, support our people, and ensure stability and continuity for our customers and partners.
Employee ownership is the natural outcome of that thinking.
Why Employee Ownership?
Employee ownership means the business is now owned on behalf of all employees, rather than being sold to an external buyer or private investor. The Employee Ownership Trust exists to ensure the company is run in the long-term interests of our people, customers, and stakeholders.
This approach allows us to:
- protect our culture and independence
- recognise and reward the contribution of our people
- take a long-term view on investment and decision-making
- continue delivering consistent, high-quality service to our customers
At its heart, employee ownership is about
stewardship, sustainability, and building something that lasts.
What this Means in Practice
From a leadership perspective, our existing Board remains in place, with Paul Claxton continuing to lead the business day-to-day, alongside the Senior Management Team. Jeff Whitton continues as Chairman, focusing on strategic oversight, governance, and supporting the long-term development of the business.
Our founders remain committed to the long-term success of the business and are fully aligned with the employee-owned structure and its purpose.
Over the coming years, we plan to strengthen and expand both our Board and senior management team, building depth, resilience, and capability as the business continues to grow. Employee ownership supports this long-term approach, enabling us to invest thoughtfully in our people, leadership, and systems - while staying focused on delivering high-quality services.
For our customers and partners, it is very much business as usual, with the added reassurance that we are now structured to prioritise long-term stability, continuity, and service excellence.
Looking Ahead
Employee ownership formalises something that has always been true at Rapid Clean: our people are central to our success.
This transition secures the future of the business, supports shared long-term success, and ensures we remain aligned with the values the company was built on.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far - and excited about what lies ahead.
