Rapid’s Employee(s) of the Season – Spring 2016

Suzanne Whitton • August 18, 2016

We have various awards in place here at Rapid: our  ‘Superstar’ award is an opportunity to give recognition to one cleaning operative who has gone above and beyond in their role; our ‘Employee of the Quarter’ award, goes to the head office employee who receives the most nominations from colleagues. The winner can be anyone from our operations, accounts, sales or office team.

Not only is this award a great opportunity for our directors to recognise someone’s commitment publicly, it allows employees to encourage one of their colleagues. In a working environment, we are often quick to criticise but not always so quick to encourage. We hope that our ‘Employee of the Quarter’ award goes some way towards rectifying that.

This quarter, we have two winners as they both received an equal number of nominations.

Left to right: Paul Claxton, Dany Smith, Kate Campbell, Jeff Whitton

First up is Dany Smith , who has been employed as our Credit Controller for 6 years now. This is what her colleagues had to say about her…

“Dany continues to be a great asset to the team, so willing to help out, never a bad word to be said about anyone (just encouragement), and someone I know that I can rely on to do anything she is asked to do in a professional way.”

“Her efforts can go unnoticed to most of the Rapid team because of the nature of her role, but she works tirelessly hard to do an amazing job….I don’t know many people with the compassion, patience and positive attitude that Dany has (and expresses 24/7) and I think she is always always giving more than expected of her. Her job title may say Credit Controller but she does so much more than this and I think she is more than deserving of this award.”

“She always has time to share her skills. She is funny. She is very much a team player, and we miss her when she is on holiday as the team seems very different without her.”

“She is very helpful. Always ready to help me if I have too much work or need help with anything.”

Next up is Kate Campbell , our dedicated Customers Services Assistant who has been working in this role for the last 12 months. This is what her colleagues had to say about her…

“I would like to nominate Kate Campbell f or her ever so helpful and always on the ball support, regarding issues that arise. She is great to work with.”

“She is readily available to give out any kind of assistance regardless of the workload she has. Ever polite despite the pressure she is under.”

“She’s very nice and helpful, always trying to sort things out either internally (with all of us) or externally (with the customers).”

“Goes over and above supporting Ops. Two words that she says an awful lot: No problem.”

We are privileged to have both of these outstanding workers as part of our team. Congratulations to Kate and Dany, you are clearly highly valued employees and colleagues.
