Rapid Superstar

Superstar Nominees

The following cleaning operatives were all nominated for this quarter's Superstar award. Each one has received a letter and a gift of appreciation...

Shannon DENTON who cleans PXG UK in Esher, Surrey

Dariusz Lapiak from Rapid Clean said:

"Shannon is a very polite person who is always happy to help. She has a very good relationship with the customer, looks after the cleaning equipment, has great attendance and time keeping and communicates well with me. I have had great feedback from the customer about her."

Sarah Hersey at PXG said:

"PXG would love it if Shannon was nominated for this award. Shannon is not only a lovely, warm & friendly person but she goes above & beyond & takes great pride in her work. Her approach to the job in hand is second to none & we have never had such a clean building, she is always on time & works tirelessly when she is on site. I hope this helps with your decision & I can’t recommend Shannon enough, she is a real asset."

Carole CRAVEN who cleans European Electronique Ltd and Eynsham Dental Care in Witney, Oxfordshire

Anna Dabal from Rapid Clean, said:

"Carol has been exceptionally diligent, helpful and reliable. Her hard work is appreciated by the clients and myself. She was even keen on travelling on the bus for two hours one way by bus to cover, for a whole week! Carole likes to spoil everyone with her delicious homemade cakes, which she brings to work quite often."

Marcus Hall, Warehouse and Operations Manager and European Electronique said:

"I think Carole would be a worthy winner! She does a fantastic job of cleaning our office and has become a very friendly face around the building.
Her work ethic is great and she takes pride in everything she does."

Rob at Eynsham Dental Care said:

"I can say that our team is VERY particular about the cleanliness of our surgery. It is absolutely paramount that all parts of our premises are immaculate. This is exactly as it is every morning we walk in. We leave after work and when we arrive in the morning it is perfect. Not a spec of dust, nothing out of place and ready for the next day's patients. I know that one of my staff has a habit of checking all the difficult or more unusual places which in the past have been missed. She has not come to me with anything, so I know all those corners, and awkward areas are also as clean as we need them to be (which for a surgery is spotless)."

Veronica SALVATERRA who cleans Poole Grammar School in Dorset

Luke Granger from Rapid Clean, said:

"Veronica has recently started as a day time cleaner for us at Poole Grammar School. She has been a vital part of the team in carrying out mini deep cleans in the areas that need it most. It is with her help and the help of others that we have managed to ensure great standards are met. Not only that but she has been helpful in lending cover and does an excellent job everywhere she goes."

Jonathan Stiby, Bursar at Poole Grammar School said:

"Thank you for making contact. It has been fantastic that Veronica has been able to join us again. She is a fantastic cleaner and we really value her day time cleaning and attention to detail throughout the school. Veronica would be a worthy winner."

Carol CRAWFORD who cleans The Vet in Southampton

James Saunders from Rapid Clean, said:

"Carol is consistent, has excellent attendance and works to excellent standards. Communication is exactly what we expect.
Every time I attend the site, the staff tell me how pleased they are with Carole. On my last visit, the manager gave me a glowing endorsement of how she is a credit to Rapid. It really does please me when I hear how happy a client is about our staff. Carole has never let us down and I feel that she deserves recognition for being a true Rapid Superstar."

Nick THUILLIEZ, Area Manager at The Vet said:

"Since I joined the business over 3.5 years ago I have been very impressed by the standards of cleanliness in our client facing areas. For such a key part of our estate, the area where clients make their first impressions, this is extremely important. It is not just about how sparkling clean Carol gets our client facing areas though, it is how she does it too! Carole is always friendly, helpful and professional, the team love her and she feels like one of them. If Carol was one of my team she would definitely be a regular winner in any recognition scheme."

Ilse BASCO who cleans Softcat Plc in Marlow, Berkshire

Mirela Tudorache from Rapid Clean said:

"I have had this nomination in my mind for a long time. Ilse has worked as a Supervisor during the day for more than 2 years and in the evening for around a year. Since she started in the evening, the shift has run smoothly, and there have been no issues. The client is always happy when I go there for the monthly audit and Ilse has a very good relationship with them. Ilse is reliable and always helps find a solution when we are short staffed. She has helped me a lot with other sites too, offering to cover and is always there to help."

Maria Diaz, Facilities Manager at Softcat said:

"Ilse has started to work at Softcat as cleaning supervisor taking on a team of cleaners that were used to not being supervised, which was a difficult period of adaptation, but she did a great job to overcome any issues. All Softcat staff, including Directors, noticed the difference in cleaning standards and Ilse has been praised ever since. She is very organised and professional and, even not working for Softcat, she blends effortlessly with the Facilities team. She is always happy to help and is ready for any challenge. The last quarter has been really busy for my team and I; Ilse has jumped in with a smile on her face to help with anything that I would ask."

Pamela WELCH who cleans The Pines School in Bracknell, Berkshire

Rachel Evans, School Business Manager at The Pines School said:

"Pamela is always happy, singing and says hello to everyone she meets. She does a lovely job of cleaning the offices and nothing is too much trouble for her. She even gives the windows a wipe over making sure that we are always spic and span."

Anita TUFFOUR who cleans Easthampstead Surgery, The Pines School and Westende Junior School, Berkshire

Bernice Anim at Rapid Clean said:

"Anita works at a couple sites for Rapid. She is not only a good cleaner, but she takes pride in what she does. She works fast but cleans very well. She is a true reflection of the level of service we promise to our customers."

Danielle MCKECHNIE who cleans Northbourne C of E Primary School in Didcot, Oxfordshire

Eva Babicova at Rapid Clean said:

"Danielle is very committed to her work at Northbourne Primary School. She has great working ethics and she is efficient and hardworking, always going above and beyond every time."

She keeps records of staff attendance, arranges cover and ensures that all areas are properly cleaned, according to the school standards. I would like to say a big thanks for her commitment to cleaning. She has always been so professional in handling the school's needs and resolving any problems. She's doing a great job!"

Salia SARKO ADU who cleans Watford Woodside Leisure Centre, Gade Surgery, Witton House Surgery in Hertforshire

Victor Olowu at Rapid Clean said:

"Salia has been really helpful, and travelled from site to site to help cover a few areas where we were short staffed."

William PEARSON who cleans Dick White Referrals in Cambridgeshire

Piotr Szulc at Rapid Clean said:

"William is a very nice guy, is reliable and has a great sense of humour. It was a pleasure to work with him to start the new Dick White contract. I wish we had more people like him working for us and I’m so pleased he joined us via TUPE!"

Rapid Superstar Winner!

And finally, we are pleased to announce that this quarter's winner is Selina ROUTLEY who works at Fairfield Farm Trust in Westbury, Wiltshire. Rapid Clean has been providing a cleaning service to Fairfield Farm Trust since November 2021, Selina has been working on site there since the start.

Jeff Whitton, our Managing Director, went to visit this inspiring school to meet the team, and present the award to Selina.

This is what Rapid and Fairfield Farm Trust had to say about Selina:

Gareth Love from Rapid Clean said:

"Selina really does do a fantastic job. She supervises the team well, has an excellent relationship with the client, and overall just ensures the contract runs smoothly."

Dr Graeme Athey, Principal at Fairfield Farm Trust said:

"Selina is one of the team. She is kind, approachable and always willing to help. She brings a sense of pride and realism to the role and is excellent with the young people. A recent example of this is owing to her superb relationship with students, we now have young people using her as a role model and wanting to be cleaners ‘just like Selina’. We are really proud to have her with us."

What fantastic feedback for Selina and everyone else mentioned here! Once again we are grateful for an amazing team of cleaners who keep our customers happy and Rapid Clean going from strength to strength.
