Rapid Superstar Award Quarter 1 of 2021

Suzanne Whitton • Jun 23, 2021

It's never been more important to recognise hard work and dedication, than over the last 18 months. During the Covid pandemic our cleaning team has been on the front line, often going unnoticed.

We are therefore pleased to be able to publicly recognise some of those who particularly shone during quarter 1 of 2021.

Our operations team has nominated employees who they feel deserve to be considered for the Rapid Superstar Award. To follow are those who were nominated, the runners up, and finally, this quarter’s winner!

Nominees:

Margaret Mutuli who cleans UK Biocentre

Victor Olowu from Rapid Clean said:

"Margaret is always on time, a very dedicated worker. What makes her different is she goes the extra mile when cleaning, one day I saw her on her knees scrubbing the toilet floor just because the scrubbing machine wasn't available."

Joao HENRIQUES DE FREITAS who cleans Carlisle Fluid Technologies

Craig Love from Rapid Clean said:

"When Joao started over a year ago he couldn’t speak any English but through perseverance and determination he can confidently and fluently converse with his peers and the staff at Carlisle. He applies this same determination to ensure that any of the tasks that he is requested to carry out is done to a very high standard and to the very best of his abilities.

I recently promoted him to deputy supervisor because I’m confident that in the absence of me or the site cleaning manager he will ensure that the site will run smoothly. He really is a superstar and an asset to Rapid clean."

Shukri Aways AHMED who cleans Hargreaves Lansdowne

Peter Soares from Rapid Clean said:

"I would like to nominate Shukri Ahmed from Hargreaves Lansdown. Shukri has been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic at a very busy site. She's extremely reliable, helpful and very friendly too!"

Runners Up:

Iveta TVRDIKOVA who cleans Chipping Norton Health Centre

Anna Dabal from Rapid Clean said:

Iveta proved to be a perfect choice for the Supervisor's role. No matter our staffing levels, her sense of responsibility and diligence do not allow to rest until all the jobs are done to the highest standard...I am extremely grateful to have such a wonderful and dedicated supervisor. Regular weekly feedback from the Health Centre only echoes my opinion about Iveta and her work!

Yolanda Eden from Chipping Norton Health Centre said:

"Thanks to Iveta our building is now sparkling clean, and there are rarely complaints. We are so pleased with Iveta and how she manages the cleaning of the building and the difference since she’s been there is enormous. Everything (toilets, mirrors) sparkles, and she really goes the extra mile. She is an outstanding cleaner/supervisor, and I do hope she will get the award! Please let me know if she does!"

Mamadou BAH who cleans Tylers Green Middle School

Diana Marothy from Rapid Clean said:

“Mamadou is very reliable and he works hard at the school every day.”

Elin Chlak from Tylers Green Middle School said:

"Mamadou is a very valued additional help in our school. He is reliable and gets on with the job of keeping the school extra clean during these uncertain circumstances. He's always friendly and with a smile on his face. I will miss seeing him when the pandemic is over! I would very highly commend Mamadou and support his recommendation for this award."

Maria Elizabeth VASQUEZ CALAPINA who cleans The Castle Centre

Ingrid Antonio from Rapid Clean said:

Maria is a diamond! She is always willing to help organise the staff and she helps support the team at The Castle Centre. I have all the support I need to run the shifts when I am not around. She covers absences and is always happy to help.

Trevor Pardoe at The Castle Centre said:

"Absolutely would recommend Maria for this award. Although we have not worked as much as we normally do, due to lockdowns, when we have had Maria and her team in the centre, they do a fantasic job! Maria ensures that the centre is always spotless and even when I walk the centre looking for items to pick up on, Maria is always there to help and make right."

Zamzam WARZAME who cleans North Ealing Primary School

Frank Twum from Rapid Clean said:

"Sarah has been incredible. I can't put into words how great she is. Anytime she is there, she is so organised and never lets me down."

Sarah Gordan from North Ealing Primary School said:

"I can confirm though the standard of the cleaning in school has greatly increased and I am sure Sarah has contributed to that."

Ariadne LORENCI who cleans OKW Enclosures

James Saunders from Rapid Clean said:

"Ariadne has only been with us around 6 months but she has shown herself to be a model employee. Her attendance has been 100%, she has been very professional and courteous on site. Excellent communication and every audit has come back faultless. Ariadne’s conduct means that this contract runs extremely smoothly with excellent customer feedback and minimal management intervention. She is a highly regarded member of my team."

Ian Cox from OKW Enclosures said:

"I’m delighted to hear that Ariadne has been considered. I’ve only met her a couple of times, as she comes in after hours, but she’s very polite & clearly very diligent, as my team have no issues with the cleanliness of our facilities. She’s doing an excellent job for Rapid, reflected in the assessment scores given in James’s reports."

Rapid Superstar Winner:

Beata Kornaga winner

Beata KORNAGA who cleans Wenlock C of E Junior School

Piotr Szulc from Rapid Clean said:

"Beata is doing a great job at Wenlock C of E Junior School; the client thinks that she is excellent!"

Neil Anderson from Wenlock Junior School said:

"Beata has been part of the cleaning team here at Wenlock Junior School for the past seven months and has proved to be invaluable. She is very reliable, which in a school is so important, rarely off and always turning up to work early. Her standard of cleaning is just fantastic which has been even more valued over recent months because of the pandemic and the need for extra cleaning in the school building. On the rare occasion where I may be  short of a cleaner for whatever reason, Beata has no problem stepping in and helping the other team members cover that section.

All of us at Wenlock really appreciate the great work that Beata does for us and I feel that Rapid should be proud of having a cleaning operative such as Beata representing their company."

Congratulations to Beata for the amazing comments she received from both the customer and her line manager.  All of the runners-up also received a small prize in recognition of their hard work.

Keep up the good work everyone🙂
