Superstar Nominations Quarter 1 of 2017

Suzanne Whitton • May 22, 2017

We have enjoyed collating all of the nominations for our latest Rapid Superstar Award. Always great to see some new names on the list as well as some familiar names of cleaners who are consistently providing an excellent service.

To follow are the names of all those nominated, where they clean and the line manager who thinks they deserve the title of ‘Rapid Superstar’.

Premek Wrotnowski nominated Joseph Simpson who cleans Bunzl and St Martins

“Great communicating with clients, always helpful and positive – both very new sites.”

Craig Love nominated William Chucas who cleans at The Willet Arms

“The pub was refurbished and there was an increase in the area to be cleaned. For 5 weeks, William spent an extra 30 minutes per day cleaning for free, to ensure the site was cleaned to standard before they gave us an increase.”

Bernice Anim nominate Buarian Hounsome from Brookside Surgery

“Buarian works well, pays attention to detail, is reliable and always willing to help cover cleans. She was TUPE’d over and is a very good asset to the company. We need more people like her to move the business forward.”

Goran Velinovski nominated Sallum Said Hussen from Micklands, MTek and Reading Climbing Club

“Sam is a very amicable and valued employee. He has made such a difference especially since the hours have been increased at the climbing centre. I had a chat with Tom the Manager there who couldn’t speak highly enough of the great work and attention to detail Sam is currently doing. Micklands School is a tough school to clean and Sam never lets us down – he always covers the work if there is any absence. A lovely guy with a great sense of humour.”

Chudi Uzowulu nominated Ibrahim Adeyinka from The Pavillion

“We started the contract in Feb and it was very challenging but Ibrahim has gone over and above all expectations to sort  the place out. He has since been made a supervisor which goes to show how committed he is.”

Luke Dobson nominated Madalina Iancu from Freeburne and Kaplan

“Madalina has recently started with Rapid Clean. She works to a high standard on multiple sites. Very reliable and happy to help out on other sites where needed.”

Aga Skupien nominated Katarzyna Cholewa from Lily Hill House

“Katarzyna is very reliable, pays attention to detail and is very keen to help. She is an amazing person and even better worker. Never complains and is always happy to help others.”

Eddie-Lawrence Kalule nominated Janet Amponsah from The Hollybush

“A few months ago I was having constant complaints about the cleaning at this site. When I spoke to Janet about the issues raised, everything changed. The cleaning has rapidly improved and the customer is now praising her attitude.”

Sue Kirby nominated Jennifer Pollard from Reading Girls School

“Since taking the role on, Jenny has excelled in supervising the cleaning team and keeping standards up to a good level. A challenging role but she has coped really well, communication and reliability have been top notch.”

Gareth Love nominated Edward Ssemwogerere from City Barge and Malden Golf Course

“Every time Diana and I have carried out a cleaning audit, results have been very good. He is very reliable and punctual also.”

Peter Soares nominated Tyrone Samuels from MM Teleperformance

“Tyrone’s been working for Rapid for many years. He’s reliable and helpful, communicating with myself, the customers and cleaners very well.”

Solomon Adadevoh nominated Christina Eva Salvalagio from Poppies Beaconsfield

“Christina is not only a good cleaner, she interprets for me anytime I need to communicate with some of our cleaners from the Brazilian/Portuguese community. She answers my calls and does all this extra work for me and the team in the High Wycombe area without complaining. She is truly a superstar.”

Best of luck to everyone nominated! The winner will be invited into head office to receive their prize and meet the rest of the team.

LGPS requirements are often misunderstood, yet they can have important financial and administrative implications for both schools and service providers. Understanding the basics early in the procurement process can help avoid delays, unexpected costs and compliance issues later on.
