Superstar Nominations – Quarter 2 of 2017

Suzanne Whitton • September 4, 2017

We had a number of great nominations for this quarter’s Superstar Award. As you can imagine, from our pool of 900+ cleaners it’s not always easy for our operations team to pick just one person who they feel has gone above and beyond in their role as cleaning operative.

We’ve been running this award for some time now and always enjoy publishing the names of those nominated and the reasons why. Below are this quarter’s choices…

Deana Cook nominated by Luke Dobson.

“Deana works at WPL Ltd and slips under the radar as I never have a problem at this site. Standards are always high and never an issue if asked to do something. Stock is always ordered with plenty of notice.”

Rose Hamilton nominated by Mary Gribben-Welsh.

“Rose is the supervisor at Tiffin Girls School . She is a very hard worker, sorts all the cleaners out and goes above and beyond in her duties. She deserves to be acknowledged and will be delighted if she even thought she would be nominated.”

Andrea Dallaway nominated by Sue Kirby.

“Andrea is the supervisor at CapQuest . She always comes in a bit earlier to make sure she deals with any requests from the client and works with her team very well. The site has very high requirements and everything seems to be in hand thanks to Andrea.”

Alain Paz nominated by Aga Skupien.

“Alain Paz works at Avnet . His cleaning standards have greatly improved over the years and he provides an excellent service. He cares about good relationships with the customer and is always happy to help. He deserves to be nominated.”

Maria Vasquez Calapina  and Gabino Quispe Huaraca nominated by Ingrid Antonio.

“Maria and Gabino work at The Castle Centre . When I first started this contract it was very difficult to get it up to a good standard but thanks to Maria and Gabino’s hard work, it has been turned around. As the centre is used until late in the evening, for many weeks, even after their day shifts, they would go back to site in the early hours of the morning to just double check everything was still ok and ready for the morning. I really appreciate their hard work and dedication.”

Jose Eduardo Caleffi  nominated by Craig Love.

“Jose works at Kaplan Aspect ILA . He orders the supplies, arranges cover, liaises with the client regarding issues and locks down the building…he even waters the pot plants! He ensures that any issues raised on the audits are corrected and calls me to inform me that these have been done. All in all a great guy and an asset to Rapid.”

Shelley Gordon nominated by Chudi Uzowulu.

“Shelly is the supervisor at Forster Park Primary School . She is so hard working and is excellent in helping to cover while we have been down a member of staff for over a month. She deserves the recognition.”

Brenda Saxby nominated by Peter Soares.

“Brenda works at Chippenham Golf Club . She is very good and hopefully the new manager at the site agrees.”

Hilda Kastiel nominated by Eddie Kalule

“Hilda works at two sites: Inn on the Green and Harpenden Golf Club .  She is helpful and goes over and above for the customer to keep them happy, even if the request is outside of the work schedule. There have also been times where she has struggled with public transport but has always found a way to get to work and to not let us down, even if she has to pay for a taxi herself. She deserves my nomination!”

Anita Tuffour nominated by Bernice Anim.

“Anita works at two sites: Lodge Dental Laboratory and Miles 33 . She is just an incredible cleaner.  All the sites she cleans adore her. She cleans to perfection and I think she deserves to be recognised.”

Francis Frimpong nominated by Solomon Adadevoh.

“Francis works at The Huntsman . He is dedicated and very committed to Rapid Clean, is always willing to cover absences and holidays.”

Mohammad Ali Howlader nominated by Goran Velinovski

“Mohammad works at Finchampstead Surgery . I have had no problems from that site in over 2 years because of Mohammad. He is a very committed member of staff, reliable and always promotes a high standard of cleaning. He has a great relationships with me, the other operatives and the customer.”

Zoran Marinkov nominated by Diana Marothy.

“Zoran works at the Thames Club . He is very reliable and hard working so therefore deserves my nomination.”

Stay tuned to find out who the winner is. We will be announcing it in the next week or so. In the meantime, congratulations to everyone who has been nominated. Out of 900+ cleaning operatives, that’s a pretty amazing achievement.
