The Green Team are Go!

ISO14001 Accreditation We are very pleased to announce that Rapid is now ISO14001 registered ! This is something that we have been working towards for sometime and is of course in-keeping with our goal to be continually improving as a company.

As many of you will know, ISO14001 is the globally recognised standard for environment management. It contains practical tools for companies and organisations looking to identify and control their environmental impact and constantly improve their environmental performance through the implementation of an Environmental Management System.

Over the last few months, we’ve been working with an authorised external certification body – QMS International Plc – to review our current environmental procedures and help us put in place an Environmental Management System which has now been assessed and approved to the ISO14001: 2004 standards and guidelines.

As part of this process, we’ve set up a Green Team here at Rapid to improve awareness of our environmental impact and help us take our environmental responsibilities seriously. This will be done by implementing, maintaining and continually improving our Environmental Management System.

The team has been drawn from staff members working across different departments within our business who share a desire to help us improve our environmental performance, reduce waste and encourage a more efficient use of raw materials here at Rapid.

It’s early days for our Green Team, but we are looking forward to seeing how we can improve our environmental performance and reduce our environmental impact in the months and years ahead!
